The Legend of Zelda is one of gaming’s most beloved and celebrated franchises but that doesn’t stop many people from not understanding who Zelda is. Because the series is named after Zelda, there are countless out there who think that the green-tunic wearing hero of the series (generally refered to as Link) is in fact named Zelda rather that the Princess of Hyrule whom the series is actually named after.
Over the years, gamers of all ages has been introduced to one of gaming’s most beloved series as they controlled the hero in the green tunic on his quest to save both Hyrule and Princess Zelda (whom many wonder why she needs saving in the first place considering how able-bodied the games have grown to depict her.)
The series may be named after Princess Zelda, but if I were given a purple rupee for every time that Link has stepped in to save the Kingdom of Hyrule, then I would need a wallet upgrade. The heroic elf-eared “boy in the green outfit” isn’t afraid to clash steel, shoot arrows, throw bombs, or even travel through the fabric of time itself in order to rescue the princess and ensure the safety of the land. Link is a hero in every sense of the word and on top of it all, he can play a mean ocarina too.

Food existing in video games as a health and power-up item has become a classic staple of the industry, but am I the only one disturbed by the fact that we see characters eating randomly found food that just happens to laying directly on the ground. Whether its slices of pizza in any TMNT arcade game, rolling mushrooms in Mario, or turkey legs in Final Fight we witness gaming heroes practicing horrible food safety attitudes.
Our latest video game comic is in response to this weeks reveal that Mass Effect 3 will indeed feature co-op multiplayer game play. As expected, this news has cause a stir from both those for and opposing the announcement. Those against are afraid that its addition will lessen the singleplayer experience while multiplayer fans have been waiting for this confirmation ever since it was rumored months back.
Players will be able to create their own characters, choosing a class picking from one of the various races from the Mass Effect universe to play on specific four player co-op missions.
Modeled after a pizza pie with a single slice removed, Pac-Man could be considered gaming’s first Survival Horror star. Think about it, he spends most of his time fleeing from the undead while collecting items in a maze-like environment. Sure, every once in a while he found a power pellet that allowed him to kill a ghost but they never stayed dead. Nom-Nom-Nom.
Whether he’s hurling barrels at a construction site, smashing them to rescue his monkey pal (Diddy Kong) , or blasting himself out of them – The famed gorilla has become a black belt at all forms of barrel usage. Alongside seeming ageless classic gameplay, Donkey Kong has managed to stay in the hearts of gamers because he’s quite the dynamic character.
Donkey Kong began his career as a villain in the original, self titled, arcade game where he stole Jumpman’s (who later became Mario) girlfriend and carried her to the top of a construction site. Years later, DK would find himself as the hero when his island’s banana supply gets stolen. This change from bad to good is one of the reasons that you can’t keep this ape down.

The critically acclaimed and best-selling Role-Playing-Shooter, as well as its four downloadable expansion packs, captured the imagination and attention of single-player and cooperative gamers around the world.
Ever wonder what would happen if a fan of Cosplay fully embraced the characters they dressed as, mimicking their traits and persona like a method actor?
