Just in time for Halloween, here’s a look at many of gaming’s most beloved heroes turned into undead monsters. I figured to it’d be a perfect theme for Halloween, plus I happen to love both gaming and zombies so it’s a win/win for me.

The new comic focuses on how a MMO might appear if it were set inside of Marios vibrant world of the Mushroom Kingdom. In this case, we’re just going to use World of Warcraft as a base for class types (afterall – if you understand what an MMO is then you’re, most likely familiar with WoW).
Ever wonder how Mario would look if he were a nature loving Druid? How about Bowser as a tank or Luigi the champion of light? Follow that with with Toad laying plumber pipe totems and Yoshi with a Goomba pet? How about Wario as a Dry Bones commanding Death Knight, Princess Daisy wielding the holy light of the Priest, a Shy Guy alongside his Warlock pet – King Boo, Koopa Troopa the Mage, and Waluigi as a sneaky Roque.
After becoming insanely rooted in pop-culture, zombies can be found in all forms of media; particularly so within the realm of video games. The undead have risen in so many titles that many believe the addition of the reanimated corpses to simply be a lazy ploy (especially when they crop up in game’s whose setting where the addition of zombies is considered a stretch to the original story). However, fans keep grabbing up these products so there are clearly many gamers out there who would disagree and obviously love the opportunity to make sure that the dead stay dead.

What if gaming’s famed plumber was as important to other forms of media as he has been to video games. The famous Italian has been portrayed as other gaming stars, rendered in classically painted portrait form, and now shown as movie stand-in.
